An Egyptian boy drinks water from a pump in Abu Passat village in Al Fayyum, about 50 miles (80 km) southwest of Cairo, August 3, 2009. Abu Passat residents and other 36 villages in Al Fayyum have been suffering from a shortage of water for almost five months.

مصر هبة النيل مقوله أصبحت من الماضي البعيد ، الآن مصر أصبحت هبة الفقر والجوع والفساد والحزب الوطني ومبارك الأب والأبن. ء

أنا منذ خمسينَ عاما
أحاولُ رسمَ بلادٍ
تُسمّى - مجازا - بلادَ العربْ
رسمتُ بلون الشرايينِ حينا
وحينا رسمت بلون الغضبْ.
وحين انتهى الرسمُ، ساءلتُ نفسي:
إذا أعلنوا ذاتَ يومٍ وفاةَ العربْ...
ففي أيِ مقبرةٍ يُدْفَنونْ؟
ومَن سوف يبكي عليهم؟
وليس لديهم بناتٌ...
وليس لديهم بَنونْ...
وليس هنالك حُزْنٌ،
وليس هنالك مَن يحْزُنونْ!! .ء
